Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing Systems
Upholding integrity and adhering to legal requirements, internal guidelines, and the standards set in our Code of Conduct and the Code for Business Partners is paramount for Intertrade International Services. To uphold these benchmarks, it's vital to be aware of any possible misconduct by employees or suppliers and address it promptly. Ensuring these principles and mitigating potential risks from regulatory breaches means it's essential to detect, understand, and halt any potential violations early on, taking corrective actions when required. This is the reason the Intertrade International Services Investigation Office is tasked with managing a neutral, unbiased, and private whistleblowing mechanism.

How do we process your report?
At Intertrade International Services, we provide multiple avenues for employees, partners, customers, and other stakeholders to report potential regulatory breaches, regardless of language or timing. The Intertrade International Services Investigation Office oversees all these reports, ensuring thorough and appropriate inquiries.
The skilled team at the Investigation Office meticulously reviews every claim of potential wrongdoing by an Intertrade International Services member, adhering to the Intertrade International Services's established guidelines. After submitting a report, you'll receive an acknowledgment. The team then evaluates the report for potential legal implications, which may involve seeking further details on the issue and collecting relevant information, especially from the whistleblower. If the initial review indicates a significant breach, a specialized unit takes over the investigation. Once completed, the Investigation Office will legally evaluate the findings and suggest necessary actions. For less critical regulatory breaches, the matter might be delegated to a relevant department for independent investigation, though they can seek advice from the Investigation Office. Whistleblowers and other involved parties can always inquire about the progress and results of their reports. While we aim to share outcomes as transparently as possible, legal constraints and the principle of limited disclosure may apply. The duration for processing varies based on the nature of the report. Reports about breaches of the Business Partner Code of Conduct, including severe risks or violations related to human rights and environmental concerns by suppliers, can also be directed to the Investigation Office. Urgent matters are similarly addressed. The Investigation Office then notifies the appropriate departments to take necessary actions, especially to mitigate or eliminate the identified risks or breaches.
Our whistleblowing system prioritizes the protection of both the whistleblower and those implicated. We only proceed with an investigation after a detailed review of the facts and when there's a justifiable suspicion of a breach. Confidentiality is maintained throughout the process, and all information is assessed with fairness, speed, and sensitivity. We're committed to ensuring that anonymous whistleblowers acting in good faith remain unidentified. Everyone involved is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
